The 2008 Legislative Showcase, held Tuesday, February 5th, was an overwhelming success even with an Iowa winter snowstorm! 31 Senators and 58 Representatives turned out to "talk tourism" with industry representatives. 1. Bring the Iowa Tourism Office budget to the Midwest Regional average of $8.3 million dollars.
2. School Start Date - every year school starts earlier than the traditional school year calendar.
3. Support the passage of the Time 21 Funding to repair and improve our roads and general
transportation venues. .
